With 100+ Group Exercise Classes every month, an airy and spacious gym and a Gym Team committed to supporting our community every step of the way, Attain & Sustain is the place to be!


We are committed to being a gym for everybody, with our Attain & Sustain Family a diverse community, with members of all shapes and sizes, fitness levels and abilities.


We pride ourselves on supporting our members with body assessments, bespoke gym programme and regular programme reviews, inclusive of all gym memberships.

In addition to our state-of-the-art fully-equipped gym, our members can also utilise our FitSense Mobile App, for both iPhone and Android, utilising it's many features such as progress tracking, nutrition, workout planner and cardio tracker.

At Attain & Sustain we’ve got a Group Exercise Programme that is inclusive for people at all fitness levels and abilities. If you want to go far, we’ll get you there. If you want to lose weight and keep active, we've got you covered! You can pick and choose the classes that you like, when it best fits your schedule. Classes are inclusive of your gym membership with us.

Our Exercise Classes are included as part of your Gym Membership with us. Our Classes include: The Les Mills Grit Series, Les Mills Body Pump, Les Mills Body Combat, Les Mills Body Balance, Les Mills Body Attack, Outdoor Boot Camp, HIIT, Dance Fit, Zumba Pilates, Barre-Fit, Fab @ 50 and Legs Bums & Tums!

We're also the home to Northgate Karate's Red Dragons, who run run a Karate Club at Attain & Sustain. This is a payable class with sessions for both children and adults.

Off-Peak Membership:

Club entry permitted from 0900 - 1530 weekdays | No Weekend Restriction

Peak Membership:

Club Entry without restriction.

We're passionate about helping support you when you join the Club. As a result, a full Club Induction with one of Gym Team is INCLUSIVE of all Club Memberships, with regular programme reviews to support you in the pursuit of your health and fitness goals throughout your time with us.

From £15 / month

Juniors (Age 14-17)

Our Junior Membership is for our younger members who are between the ages of 14-17 on the date of joining the club. Our Junior Membership does not have a peak / off-peak option.

From £20 / month

Off-Peak Club Membership

Our Off-Peak Club Membership permits Club entry from 0900, before 1530 on weekdays, and without restriction at the weekend. Access to Group Exercise classes within permitted hours totalling 100+ per month.

From £30 / month

Peak Club Membership

Our Peak Club Membership offers you unrestricted access to the Club during all hours of opening and 200+ Group Exercise Classes per month.

From £160 / year

Annual Membership

At Attain & Sustain, we believe in only the highest standards of member experience and support. Our Club opened in July 2019 and have been offering top-notch fitness training to our members ever since. A leading fitness facility, based in the heart of the communities of Great Blakenham and Claydon, our staff at Attain & Sustain are actively enriching the lives of our members and creating a community of like-minded people who love being physically and mentally fit and healthy. Meet The Team

From helping you reach your fitness goals faster to figuring out how to exercise safely with a chronic condition, Personal Training offers a solution to getting the results you deserve and likely to be one of the best investments you'll make in your overall health and well-being. Having a trainer by your side can provide the encouragement, energy and motivation you need to jumpstart your results. We will help you set goals, create a plan to accomplish them and celebrate with you the day you reach them!

We will hold you accountable and help you overcome all the excuses you might use to avoid your commitment to exercise. It’s a lot harder to skip the gym when you know someone is waiting for you! Fitness can also be very confusing. There is a lot of information out there with so much contradiction. Eat this, not that. Cardio before or after strength training? We will help you find credible information and provide direction on your fitness journey. Removing the guesswork so you can put all your energy towards accomplishing your goals with clarity and confidence.

Believe it or not, exercise can be enjoyable! A savvy personal trainer can make exercise both effective and fun. Group Exercise or 1:1 training is a great way to increase enjoyment and make exercise social. Working with a trainer who you like and respect will provide you with more effective and successful workouts.


Jim Dale

Director | Personal Trainer | Group Ex

Jim had a vision to create a Fitness Facility that was inclusive, one where people of all fitness levels and abilities would feel comfortable.

Attain & Sustain was born from these ideals for which remain at the core of what we do everyday. Jim's passion for inclusivity for all resonates through the team and has helped create the Club Community we are so very proud of at Attain & Sustain.

Jim coaches our Les Mills Grit Series, teaching Strength & Cardio variations in addition to 1:1 Personal Training. He also helps members with gym programmes and reviews, so don't be surprised to have your gym induction with the boss!


Tom West

Personal Trainer | Group Ex.

Tom literally walked in off the street! And when we say that, it was literally the case! "I'm looking around to see if I can find somewhere to do PT".

Tom's enthusiasm for the role of trainer, combined with his personality and - dare we say - sense of humour, has meant that he's seamlessly fitted into the Team here at Attain & Sustain and has become an asset to the business.

In addition to 1:1 Personal Training, Tom plays a huge role in our Group Exercise Programme, coaching; HIIT, Core Blast, Boot Camp and The Les Mills Grit Series. Tom's a popular member of the Team and is highly thought of by all our members.


Wendy Baldry

Director | Personal Trainer

Wendy's journey began in 2016 when she invested in having a Personal Trainer to guide her through a transformation that would ultimately see her lose 28.6kgs (4.5 stone).

The transformation led Wendy to a new found passion for health and fitness. Qualifying in 2019, Wendy's gone onto complete an accredited Nutritionist Certification and inspire many of our members to make great headway in a transformation journey of their very own.

Wendy mother's the group, sometimes through necessity than choice! In her free time Wendy can be found enjoying walks locally in the fresh countryside air.


Jonny Linard (BSc MSST)

Sports Therapist | Personal Trainer

Group Ex.

With a passion in helping people to be pain free and live life to the full, Jonny learned his trade at Chichester University, getting his Sports Therapy Degree in the process.

Jonny joined the team at Attain & Sustain to provide our members access to services such as diagnosis, rehabilitation and sports massage, crucial in helping to maintain and improve your health and fitness.

In addition to being a popular member of the Club, Jonny fancies himself as a bit of a golfer. His handicap of just 4 suggests he's alright at it! Currently playing for Whitton Sports, Jonny enjoys playing football almost as much as he does telling us about it, especially when he's scored and the team have won!

Sara Heaslewood

Personal Trainer | Group Ex.

Sara's passion to stay physically and mentally fit led her to first qualify to teach Exercise To Music in 2005, first with Legs, Bums & Tums and followed by Step later that year.

In 2006 Sara qualified as a Les Mills BODYPUMP Instructor, which was soon followed by Les Mills BODYCOMBAT and Les Mills BODYBALANCE, all 3 of which Sara teaches as part of our Group Exercise Timetable at Attain & Sustain. Sara added her Personal Training Qualification to her C.V. in 2017 so that she could pursue her passion to help people 1:1, especially with the mental well-being aspects and benefits of exercise.


True Crime Stories are a favourite read for our resident Book Worm, who also likes to bag herself a bargain in the Charity Shops! 


Martyn Jones

Personal Trainer | Group Ex.


Martyn saw our advert for a new Personal Trainer and got in touch. We're so glad he did! We sometimes wind him up that he was the only applicant! But the truth is his enthusiasm and passion shone above and beyond. We're delighted to have him leading some Boot Camp Classes and offering P.T. at the Club.

When exercising most of us enjoy a nice blend of up tempo beats and uplifting tracks. Martyn? Well, as a fan of The Spin Doctors (Who??) Martyn injects a little randomness to the music mix!

Passionate about helping people build their confidence and seeing - in particular - the benefits in mental well-being, it's fair to say Martyn has shown himself to be a great fit for us at the Club and has been warmly welcomed into the Team.


Finlay Pipe

Aspiring Boxer, Footballer &

Personal Trainer

With electric hand speed and the gift of twinkle toes on the football pitch, it's hard to know in which direction Fin will lean towards!

With abs that put the rest of the team to shame, Fin loves his exercise and often expends his ridiculous energy levels doing workouts at home and is getting to the point where Jim does well to keep up!

Fin loves his football and spending his time 'levelling up' on Fortnite. He very patiently taught Jim how to play in Lockdown 1.0, but he'll soon tell you he's much, much better!


Sophia Dale

Aspiring Midwife, Gymnastics & Dance Enthusiast!

Sophia can perform gymnastics moves that, quite honestly, look impossible! She's enjoyed gymnastics from a very young age and has flexibility that brings a tear to the eye!

Jim's eldest daughter, Sophia likes to make use of our Studio when it's empty to practice her gymnastics and dance, and basically takes over the place!


With her maturity and desire to always care for others, it'd be little surprise to see her care for others when she's older.


Elsie Dale

Social Media

& Workout Superstar!

The UK Lockdown saw fitness gurus land in our Social Media feeds with the promise of keeping you fit and healthy whilst gyms were closed. Elsie had an appeal that none, not even her Daddy - Jim, could come close to matching!

Gate-crashing most 'live workouts' on Instagram & Facebook, the little cameo appearances, usually a quick wave and 'hello' rapidly became her being the Star of The Show! Elsie perfected squats, running on the spot, press ups and even burpees, all before she turned 2!

Elsie's cuddly toy monkey lives ontop of the TV outside the studio, be sure to say hello to him when you're in the Club!

Hayden Pollard

Personal Trainer - Apprentice

Hayden started out as a Junior Member at the Club. Living locally he was delighted when we opened Attain & Sustain on his doorstep as it gave him a welcoming gym environment to train in, often alongside friends.

With a real passion for fitness, Hayden reached out to us, during the UK National Lockdown in April 2020,  about coming onboard as an apprentice. It was something we were keen to do as we feel the Apprenticeship Schemes offer a great opportunity for young people to learn 'on the job' and give employers such as us the chance to mould and develop someone who will benefit the business long-term.

Hayden has a willingness to learn and a eagerness to develop that will see him become an asset for us at Attain & Sustain for the years ahead.


Jules Puttock

Membership Advisor

Jules joined the team here at Attain & Sustain to help us bring the very best customer service and delivery to out members. Jules has brought with her over a decades worth of experience working in membership roles within the Fitness Industry.

The Coronavirus Epidemic has effected to many businesses and, when Jules' previous gym ceased trading, we were keen to snap her up and have her join the team here. She's helped us make improvements behind the scenes to help us better manage our member database, something so crucial for independent gyms such as us at Attain & Sustain.

Jules has previously flirted with the idea of doing her qualifications and becoming a Personal Trainer. Having actively taken part in sports all her life; swimming, ice hockey, trampolining to name but a few, we think she'd be great. So when you see her in the Club, feel free to give her a gentle nudge!


Clive Lockwood


Clive first walked into Attain & Sustain in January 2020. With bank card in hand he wanted to commit to joining the gym there and then. We had a better idea...

With supported living arrangements, we thought we could help Clive by offering him some time at the Club wo see how he got on first, having not ever used a gym before. He took to it and enjoyed his workouts.

Clive attended a few nutrition seminars that we held and asked at the end of one of these if he could work for us as a volunteer. When asked what he liked to do he said "I really like to clean".

The rest, they say, is history. Clive's since had his first every birthday party at the Club when he reached the big 50, and he plays a huge role at the Club. He's incredibly highly thought of by us all and it has been a privilege for us to help him improve his confidence and his fitness.
